All aboard !

Saturday 30th July saw a dozen or so members of GEC Model Engineering Society (including friends and family) take the opportunity to come along and have a run on our track, the sun even made a guest appearance to make it a hot but very enjoyable afternoon. As a result there were a couple of different steamers and a couple of Electrics to be seen running around our track even one that couldn’t make up its mind if it was Steam or Electric!

He needn’t have bothered as the loco behaved itself admirably and later in the afternoon Emma was seen “flying” around the track behind the regulator!

The other steamer was a very well finished 1400 class 0-4-2T and talking to the driver he was very pleased with its performance as this was only its fifth outing.

As everyone was eventually packing up the GEC members thanked us for the day and it appears that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day.
